Sedo and Friends

SEDO and Friends

SEDO is a pooch on a mission: Saving Westmile City from his arch enemy, Bado and, well, saving himself from hunger. With a star-filled hat shaped like a noodle bowl, what else do you expect? Sedo is the pack leader, the typical alpha male take-charge type of dog who’s almost a pure-bred hero. He’s always in the forefront of any rescue squad although he does have the tendency to boldly lead his team directly into trouble. You see, while Sedo might be brave, he’s also not too bright, overly impulsive and very impatient. Yet he has this strange charisma that makes Floro adore him and the other pooches follow his lead. Luckily, there’s Lucy to keep him and his friends on the right track. Sedo’s special powers come from his magical treasure bowl hat that conjures all kinds of useful stuff, and he also has the ability to teleport over short distances, useful if you need to make a speedy getaway, or just happen to find yourself in the clutches of your evil arch enemy. Sedo also has one extra special power that the other characters don’t have, and this power comes not from his hat, but from a magical tuft of hair growing from his head that grants him instant good luck, just when he needs it most.

COSMO is the eldest among the pups. So whenever Sedo messes up as the pack leader, Cosmo’s naturally drawn to taking on a few paw steps forward to lead the gang. Cosmo’s magical hat gives him a rather unique ability to morph into any object he can think of, be it a chair, a fire hydrant or even a piece of clothing, perfect for camouflaging and spying on unsuspecting bad guys like Bado and Rollo. It also helps him keep one step ahead of Lucy’s devious cat Aha, whose rotten schemes are meant to get him and his friends into trouble. He can be pretty superstitious at times and incredibly weary of bad omens. Cosmo, above anything else, loves cooking, and if he’s not cooking up a regular tasty meal, he’s probably experimenting on a new recipe—whatever it’s made of.

GURO may not be the most exciting person to talk to in the world, but don’t let his serene trance-like state fool you, he’s probably just asleep in mid-air! His blank eyes are a perfect cover-up for his profound wisdom that balances Sedo’s usual recklessness. Usually, Guro speaks in a monotone and hardly shows any signs of emotions. Guro’s magic turban allows him to communicate telepathically to everyone. He can also levitate himself, as well as move objects with his mind. Sadly, he has a short attention span, and can get easily distracted, especially if someone throws a ball or a stick, causing whatever he’s moving through the air to crash to the floor— sometimes including himself. You see, Guro loves playing fetch, and while naturally most dogs enjoy chasing and fetching stuff, Guro gets too enthusiastic and over excited, sometimes scarily so.

MONO is probably the friendliest, most lovable little puppy you’ll ever meet. With big round eyes and a sweet babyish voice, it’ll be nothing but “Awwwww…” from anybody. And hey, this cute little puppy comes with a box! Well, actually, his oversized hat resembles a box which gives him the power to change his size at will. He can shrink into the size of an ant or grow into the size of a giant in which he changes into Maxo. Maxo is the bigger, much stronger yet a not-so-smart version of Mono. Everyone likes little Mono and even huge Maxo. However Mono has a deep dark chocolaty secret known only to him and the gang. If he gets even a single bite of chocolate, he’ll turn into Mad Maxo, a super powerful, super clever and super bad Maxo who loathes Sedo to the bones. Unfortunately, he’s addicted to the stuff. Anyway, off from the choco sweets, Mono is perfectly harmless, big or small. He just spends the day glued on TV waiting for his favourite show, Mighty Mutt.

JUDO is the youngest in the group. He prefers, however, to put on a tough and cool exterior to shroud the fact that he’s the youngest. He also happens to be Sedo’s annoying younger brother who is pretty jealous of Sedo’s abilities and natural luck that usually gets him in the heroic spotlight. To add on to his frustration, he’s the only pup that doesn’t have special powers because his hat has not been blessed by the Magic Hatter yet. Judo, like his brother, is kind-hearted and always willing to help although he is mostly jeopardized by his desire to prove himself to everyone, especially to Floro, whom he has a very obvious crush on. Unfortunately, Floro is unaware of this even when faced with Judo’s cheesiest antics to get her attention. To make up for his short comings in the magical powers department, Judo focused on learning Martial Arts. Still, although he’s keen, he is incredibly clumsy and has no real Martial Arts skills whatsoever, and usually does more damage to himself in the end.

FLORO is a babe (at least in the doggy sense) with her long curled lashes, sparkling doh eyes and pink glossy fur. And boy, does she know it. It’s probably her greatest power, even more useful to her than her Magic Hat abilities. She can virtually manipulate any male dog to do anything for her with just a quick flutter of her eyelashes and a sassy wag of her tail. The only one that seems immune to her charms is Sedo and that really irritates Floro, because he’s the one she really has the hots for. But Floro is not all baby pink and plain sweet dandy for when the going gets tough, this tough cookie definitely gets going. Her magic hat can control the weather either by will, or by the mood she’s in. This can be a both a blessing and a curse for her friends. Try spending an evening in the basement with a bad tempered Floro and you could find yourself in the middle of an indoor thunderstorm!

LUCY is a ten year old, bright, brave, curious and full of ideas… human ideas which, of course, aren’t always the way things are done back in Woofworld. So, she’s Sedo and his friends’ unofficial guide to human world survival. Lucy is addicted to boy band, Teenlife, and is madly in puppy-love with lead singer, Tommy Hawk. She can also get into quite a strop if things don’t go her way, which happens quite often. Once, she missed almost half of Teenlife’s interview because Mono won’t switch channels since Mighty Mutt’s on. That night, while the pups were asleep, she hid the remote control inside the washing machine. That’s just one of those stories. Anyway, she’s also an avid fan of cheesy soap operas and her right hand seems to be surgically attached to her mobile phone. A girl’s got to keep up with all her friends’ gossips, somehow! Although, there’s one piece of cool gossip she can’t share with her friends— that she’s got a group of super powered, inter-dimensional talking puppies, living in her basement!

AHA, unlike the dogs, can only say one thing: Aha! Thus, the name. He was Lucy’s favorite pet until the new arrivals, six cute talking puppies, turned up from nowhere. Now Aha is a cute and cuddly bundle of seething hatred and jealousy. This is one pussycat that hates Lucy’s new house guests with every fluffy fibre of his body. Don’t underestimate Aha. He’s a criminal genius hell bent on getting rid of the pups, one way or another! When Aha is not busy playing catch, toss and eat with Cyril, Lucy’s hamster, Aha can be found plotting and scheming ingenious and elaborate ways to get rid of Sedo and the gang, once and for all.

CYRIL, the all-action hamster spends his time in a constant battle of wits and stamina with the ever hungry and perpetually-frustrated Aha the cat. When not in his cage training on his big exercise wheel, he can be found on the loose in his plastic ball, scurrying round the living room floor, fleeing from Aha’s persistent clutches. Who says rodents don’t lead exciting lives?

SUPER POWERED POOCHES

KIDS love puppies, who doesn’t? But when Lucy has a group of them literally drop in on her from out of nowhere, her life is about to get turned upside down.

These mini mutts are no ordinary dogs, they come from a parallel world called Woof World. It’s practically a doggy paradise, a place were dogs talk like you and me, and take themselves for walks, a land where fire hydrants are plentiful and bones grow on trees…..and, as Lucy soon discovers, they also have super-cool powers.

Sedo is the top dog of the group and he’s a pooch on a mission, his evil arch nemesis Bado and her side kick Rollo have escaped justice through a dimensional doorway into Earth. Unfortunately, the dimensional doorway sucked Sedo and his friends through as well. The stunned pups found themselves falling through the air and landing in a strange new world called Earth…Well, they actually landed on Lucy who was on her way home from school before being buried under a pile of whimpering dogs.

Sedo and his friends, Guro, Cosmo , Mono, Judo and Floro are marooned on Earth, their only hope of returning home is to catch Bado, and get her to conjure up the dimensional doorway, but she and Rollo have absolutely no intentions of going home and quickly disappear deep into the labyrinth of Westmile City, Sedo and his friends could be stuck here for quite some time!
